For my introductory blog post I'd like to say a few words about myself and what kind of posts you can expect to see in the future. I'm a thirtysomething woman living in Draper, Utah with my teenage son, my fiancee, and 5 kittehs. I work for Coca-Cola, but I live for the outdoors. I spend most weekends during spring, summer, and fall hiking, backpacking, and taking pictures. During winter I primarily hibernate and dream of future trips, but I intend to take up snowshoeing in the near future, so I can get my butt off the couch every now and again. I tend to spend my time where the weather is good, which means that during spring and fall I head to the desert, and during the summer I enjoy the mountains. Mostly I stick to locations within Utah because there are so many amazing places to see here, but I try to go outside my home state at least once a year. The primary purpose of this blog is a place for me to post my trip reports. I love reading other people's trip reports, and I keep meaning to write my own, so I started a blog as a means of getting started. The trip reports will feature some of the photos I've taken from my trips, as well. My first trip of 2013 is coming up in a few days, so if all goes well I should be posting my first report next week. Wish me luck!
